Baba Kharak Singh Block

School of Pharmaceutical Sciences

The Baba Kharak Singh Block stands as one of the landmark academic facilities of Sardar Bhagwan Singh University and serves as the home of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Inaugurated in 2001, the block reflects the University's longstanding commitment to excellence in pharmaceutical education, research, and professional training.

Spread over approximately 40, 000 square feet, the facility houses spacious lecture theatres, modern laboratories, seminar halls, faculty offices, and student learning spaces. A multipurpose hall with a seating capacity of over 600 provides a vibrant venue for academic events, conferences, workshops, and student activities.

The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences has earned recognition for its strong academic foundation and emphasis on experiential learning. Well-equipped laboratories support teaching, training, and research across Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Pharmacognosy. Students gain hands-on exposure to modern pharmaceutical processes, analytical techniques, drug formulation, quality assurance, pharmacological evaluation, and natural product research.

A dedicated Central Instrumentation Facility provides access to advanced analytical and research equipment, enabling students and faculty to undertake high-quality research and innovation. Library - “The Knowledge Bank”

The Central Library of Sardar Bhagwan Singh University serves as the intellectual heart of the campus, supporting teaching, learning, research, and innovation across diverse academic disciplines. More than a repository of books, it is a dynamic knowledge hub that fosters scholarly inquiry, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.

Housed in a fully air-conditioned facility with a carpet area of over 5, 000 square feet, the library provides a welcoming and technology-enabled environment for students, faculty, and researchers. Operating on an open-access system, it offers seamless access to a rich collection of more than 29, 000 books, reference works, dissertations, reports, and other learning resources spanning health sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, agriculture, biotechnology, environmental sciences, management, computer applications, and allied disciplines.

To support academic and research excellence, the library subscribes to a select collection of national and international journals, periodicals, and scholarly publications. A spacious reading hall with seating for over 200 users provides an ideal setting for study and intellectual engagement.

The library is fully automated through a modern Integrated Library Management System, ensuring efficient access to catalogues, circulation services, information retrieval, and digital learning resources. In addition, departmental libraries cater to the specialized needs of students and faculty in disciplines such as Physiotherapy, Agriculture, Management, and Computer Applications in the new campus.

To promote inclusive access to educational resources, the University maintains a well-established Book Bank comprising more than 7, 300 textbooks that are made available to students for extended academic use.

Professor Puran Singh Block

School of Basic and Applied Sciences

Named in honour of the eminent scientist, philosopher, and educationist Professor Puran Singh, this academic block serves as a key centre for teaching, research, and innovation in the basic and life sciences at Sardar Bhagwan Singh University and reflects SBSU's longstanding commitment to scientific inquiry and academic excellence.

The Professor Puran Singh Block houses the Departments of Applied Chemistry, Microbiology, and allied basic science disciplines. Hub of Management, Computing, Allied Health Sciences and Emerging Programmes

The Guru Gobind Singh Block is one of the most dynamic academic centres of Sardar Bhagwan Singh University, reflecting the institution's commitment to multidisciplinary education, innovation, and professional excellence. Spread over approximately 6, 750 square metres, the facility houses the Schools of Management and Computer Science, while also supporting academic and administrative activities of Allied Health Sciences, Agriculture Sciences and other emerging disciplines. The block features spacious lecture theatres, smart classrooms, advanced computer laboratories, seminar facilities, faculty workspaces, and student support areas that facilitate an engaging and interactive learning experience.

The academic infrastructure includes ten well-equipped laboratories and multiple lecture theatres integrated with modern teaching and learning technologies. A dedicated library and reading facility, supported by digital resources and computing infrastructure, provides students with access to knowledge, information, and research support essential for academic success.

The block also houses specialized laboratories and clinical training facilities supporting physiotherapy and allied health sciences education. These include advanced facilities for rehabilitation sciences, exercise therapeutics, electrotherapy, biomechanics, and clinical assessment, enabling students to acquire practical skills through hands-on learning and research-based training.

The Departmental Library at the Guru Gobind Singh Block serves as a valuable academic resource centre supporting teaching, learning, and research across disciplines such as Physiotherapy, Management, Computer Applications, and allied fields. School of Physiotherapy

The School of Physiotherapy at Sardar Bhagwan Singh University is committed to excellence in physiotherapy education, clinical training, research, and rehabilitation sciences. Physiotherapy is a dynamic healthcare profession dedicated to enhancing movement, restoring function, preventing disability, and improving quality of life across all age groups.

As the first institution to introduce Physiotherapy education in Uttarakhand, the School has played a pioneering role in developing skilled physiotherapy professionals for over three decades. School of Agricultural Sciences

The School of Agricultural Sciences is housed in a modern academic facility with over 20, 000 square feet of built-up space. The block comprises spacious lecture halls, well-equipped laboratories, a departmental library, a seminar hall, and student learning spaces designed to support contemporary agricultural education and research.

The School offers hands-on training through specialized laboratories in Soil Science, Agricultural Chemistry, Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Biotechnology, and Plant Tissue Culture. These facilities enable students to gain practical exposure to modern analytical techniques, crop improvement technologies, microbial studies, soil analysis, and sustainable agricultural practices.

A Central Laboratory equipped with advanced scientific instrumentation supports teaching, research, and interdisciplinary projects in agriculture and allied sciences. Today, that vision has grown into a vibrant university community serving students across diverse disciplines.

The block houses the Departments of Medical Laboratory Technology and Medical Microbiology, providing a strong foundation for education, training, and research in laboratory sciences. The facility comprises modern classrooms, well-equipped teaching laboratories, clinical diagnostic laboratories, and academic support spaces that facilitate experiential learning and skill development.

Specialized laboratories in Histopathology, Haematology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology provide students with hands-on exposure to contemporary diagnostic techniques, laboratory procedures, and quality practices essential for healthcare services. Hostels – A Home Away from Home
