The University is spread over 25 Acres with total covered area of 1,75,000 sq. ft. allocated for academics and 1,40,000sq. ft. for support services. The state of the art campus accommodates different academic blocks i.e. Baba Kharak Singh Block, Prof. Puran Singh Block, Biotechnology Block, MLT Block, Administrative Block and Guru Gobind Singh Block. Other Infrastructures are Central Library, Staff Quarters, Girls & Boys Hostels
Baba Kharak Singh Block was inaugurated by H.E. Sardar Surjit Singh Barnala, Governor of Uttarakhand and Sh. Nityanand Swami former C.M. of Uttarakhand on 26th May 2001. Spread in an area of 40,000 sq. ft. the block consists of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The block also houses a large multipurpose hall of approximately 8,000 sq. ft. with a seating capacity of more than 600 students. In this block there are 12 acoustically designed lecture halls spread in an area of more than 5,200 sq. ft. which help in inducing learning at the highest quality level. The halls are equipped with modern teaching aids like Over Head Projectors (OHPs), Multimedia presentation devices, Slide Projectors etc. The Block also houses laboratories for various disciplines of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Pharmaceutics: There are five Pharmaceutics laboratories equipped with pilot and lab scale manufacturing and testing/analysis facilities of different dosage forms. Major instruments/ equipments are: electrolab 08 vessel dissolution apparatus, paddle over disc apparatus, transdermal cylinders for drug release testing, validation kit for dissolution apparatus, electrolab 7 station diffusion cell apparatus, electrolab disintegration test apparatus, Franz diffusion cell apparatus, friabilator, intrinsic dissolution kit, electrolab sieve shaker with certified sieves, infrared moisture balance, Brookfield viscometer, magnetic stirrers, 0.1 mg sensitivity analytical balance, vacuum oven, remi water bath shaker, ultrasonicator, pH meter, multipurpose equipments, etc.
Pharmaceutical Chemistry: Five pharmaceutical chemistry laboratories are available with facilities for performing synthetic and analytical chemistry experiments and research. The labs are equipped with all the required apparatuses like UV-Visible spectrophotometer, hot-plate with magnetic stirrer, microwave apparatus, vacuum pump, distillation unit, potentiometer, flame photometer, colorimeter, polarograph, densitometer, Karl Fischer apparatus, conductometry, etc.
Pharmacology: There are four Pharmacology laboratories which possess latest equipments like autoanalyzer, deep freezer, refrigerated centrifuge machines, digital plethysmometer, CNS instruments, physiograph, tissue homogenizer, actophotometer, langendorff apparatus, etc. for evaluation of different pharmacological activities on animals. School has CPCSEA approved animal house for small laboratory animals like rats, mice, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, etc.
Pharmacognosy: There are two Pharmacognosy laboratories with facilities for extraction and isolation of phytoconstituents. Major laboratory equipments are various sizes of cleavenger apparatus, columns, microtome, steam distillation unit, hydro-distillation apparatus, soxhlet apparatus, muffle furnace, rotary evaporator, etc. We have a separate Herbal garden with various medicinal plants supporting various pharmacognostic experiments in the lab. Central Instrumentation: Central Instrumentation lab is equipped with modern instruments like UV-visible spectrophotometer, HPLC, GLC, FT-IR, flame photometer, potentiometer, polarograph, Brookfield viscometer, digital melting point apparatus, nephelometer, autoanalyzer, moisture balance, etc.
Machine Room and Pilot Plant Facility: Machine room is equipped with 16 station tablet punching machine, single punching machine, pan coater, muffle furnace, hammer mill, hydraulic bench, tray dryer, filter press, ointment cabin, double cone blender, sieve shaker, ball mill, mechanical stirrer, ion exchange plant, ampoule filling machine etc. Pilot plant lab is equipped with GMP model single station tablet press, electrolab tablet testing series, horizontal main drive with all pilot scale manufacturing and filling attachments, multimill, colloid mill, turbine mixers, paddle mixers, propeller mixers, GMP ball mill, etc.
Computer: The computer lab houses 90 modern desktop systems and internet facility for students to get them connected with the internet. Computer lab also provides ample space and facility for performing software based Pharmacology experiments.
Justice Kuldip Singh, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India inaugurated Prof. Puran Singh Block on 30th November 1997. The Block consists of Department of Applied Chemistry and Department of Microbiology, with spacious and state of the art laboratories of Chemistry, Microbiology and Central laboratory Molecular Biology, Bioreactor Lab for advance experiment and research.

Biotechnology: Equipments available are Laminar Air Flow, Refrigerated Centrifuge,Electronic Balance, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, Gel Documentation Unit, Bio-Photometer, Microscopes and Thermal Cycler.
Tissue Culture: Temperature & humidity-controlled plant growth chamber &Inoculation chamber.
Central Laboratory: Equipped with Laminar air flow. Laboratory Fermentor, Thermal Cycler, 0 0Gel-Doc, Microfuge, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, Deep Freezer (-20C & -80C), GLC & HPLC.
Agricultural Farms: Adequate land along with modern farm equipments and machinery that include various hand tools and tractor drawn have duly implements is available for farming.
Computer Lab equipped with Licensed Operating System.
Language Lab having softwares for Linguistic skills.
Income Tax & Accountancy Lab equipped with online Tax softwares and Accounting Software like Tally ERP.
One of the oldest block from where the Institute began its journey with merely 8 students and today it has more than 1200 students. This block mainly consists of Department of Medical Lab. Technology and Medical Microbiology with well equipped teaching laboratories, clinical diagnostic laboratory and lecture halls. It also houses the Main Central Store.

This academic block, situated in Campus II has design that swirls and channelizes positive energy throughout defining the open space at SBS. The magnificent block sprawling in an area of 6751 sq. mtrs. has the state of the art, ten hi-tech labs and seven lecture theatres equipped with modern teaching aids under strict CCTV surveillance. The block caters to the academic needs of the students with well stacked library having a covered area of 452.2 sq. mtrs. Along with the reading room and computer lab equipped with 80 i3 processor computers. It also comprises of administrative section that gratify to the functioning of the Department of Physiotherapy along with newly introduced courses under School of Technology and Bachelor of Hotel Management.

Research Lab: Keeping up the latest scientific acumen across the country, the departmental research lab has state of art specialized instruments like posture analysis machine, EMG- NCV apparatus from Medicaid, LASER, Kinkom Isokinetic system, Digital Dynamometers, Ultralign SIGMA instrument, Thermal Threshold Analyzer, galvanic skin resistance, respiratory biofeedback, EMG biofeedback, Trigger point determination tool, algometer, digital inclinometer, spinal position sense device, Lord Sway meter, etc.
Exercise Therapeutics Lab:-The lab has latest equipments like multipurpose treadmill,Guthre-Smith apparatus, DAPRE and PRE systems, Schroth exercise system ambulation devices, adjustable tables, and all other standard exercise therapeutic equipments.
Electrotherapy Lab:-Electrotherapy lab has all modalities including LASER, matrix, micro currents, micro wave diathermy and other standard electrotherapy equipments to cater for academic, training and research.
Kitchen Training/Food Production labs:-The school of hotel Management has Training Kitchen labs and a demonstration kitchen studio with extended sections. Basic kitchen has fully equipped work stations with individual sink and tables. The kitchen lab has unique “Japanese Tepanyaki Grill”. Advance Training Kitchen has workstations, hot plates and ultra-modern food preparation equipment’s at par with deluxe star category hotels.
Basic Restaurant Training/ Services Lab:-The School of Hotel Management offers tastefully appointed Basic Training Restaurant with Mock room service section and an Advance Training Restaurant with state of the art training bar and aesthetically designed buffet counter. The basic training restaurant is a beautifully is laid out. This restaurant lays the foundation for the new comers & teaches them the basic of Food & beverages services. Lectures on table-service, napkins folds, American Service, Silver service are the some few aspects touched by this restaurant.

Living in the hostel is an experience for the student which is cherished throughout one's life. It develops a sense of living and sharing together along with a feeling of belongingness towards the Institution.
There is no better place for you to appreciate the joys of nature and to become environmentally conscious than to be at our Campus. The view of Himalayas, the abundance of trees and chatter of a myriad variety of birds enhances the joy of living.
The University hostel hosts more than 600 girls and 275 boys in “Mata Gujri Girls Hostel” and “Banda Bahadur Boys Hostel” respectively. The Hostel buildings, infrastructure and surroundings are of its own class. The hostels comprise of 285 and 140 elegantly well furnished AC/Non Ac rooms in both the boys and girls hostels respectively. Both hostels are equipped with hygienic mess facilities, well furnished reading rooms (provided with latest magazines and newspapers), A.C. recreation rooms with home theatre and indoor sports infrastructure.

The Library is a rich learning resource and technological backbone for all intellectual and academic activities of the Institute. The newly renovated and fully air conditioned library with a floor area of over 5000 sq. ft. functions with an "Open Access System" and is well equipped and organized into various sections manned by well qualified library professionals and highly experienced staff. The Library is enriched with adequate number of Text Books, Reference Books, and Periodicals totaling over 27,000 books. Besides, 21 selected current National and International Periodicals including Research Journals covering areas of Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Products, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences, Physiotherapy, Medical Sciences and other Allied Health Sciences are subscribed regularly. The Library has an outstanding reading room with the seating capacity of more than 200 students. The Library is fully computerized and supported by LIBMAN software package. The Institute also has departmental library in Physiotherapy Department.
The book bank comprising of 6500 text books has been created as part of library for the benefit of students.
We are committed to providing best facilities available to support academic performance in this web age. For this, artistically and ergonomically designed state of art Internet cafe with dedicated 2Mbps high speed lease line has been built, where you can search for information about your research work and stay in touch with your friends in air conditioned environment. Internet and other facilities are provided to you at highly subsidized rates. Free Wi-fi is available in the Library and Hostel areas. There is a Computer Laboratory where you get an opportunity to develop your skills according to the global needs and International standards. A specially trained faculty looks after the Computer Lab. The Institute lays strong emphasis on the usage of computer education in curricular program. The Computer Lab is equipped with the latest software available.
Both the campuses have separate cafeteria having seating capacity of around 200 students at a time, with well maintained lawn on one side and beautiful Shivalik Hill view on the backdrop. The cafeteria serves pure vegetarian Indian and Chinese food. Hygienically cooked and reasonably priced snacks are also served. The cafeteria is open during college hours only i.e.: from 9 A.M to 4.30 P.M. An open area is available for the students to come together and enjoy academic and general conversations.
For the academic excellence of the students and for the treatment of needy persons the Institute runs Physiotherapy Out- Patients Department and Pathology Research Centre “Prayas” in Dehradun city at 41, East Canal Road; Bala Preetam Health Centre, Patel Nagar; Sports College, Raipur; Early Intervention Centre at Cheshire Home, 16, Pritam Road, Dehradun and OPD in Academic Campus of SBSPGI-Balawala, Dehradun. The Institute also arranges free medical health camps in different locations in and around Dehradun. The OPD’s have an average turnout of 250-300 patients giving the students hands-on experience for treatment of patients.
One of the significant aims of sports is to instill among the students the cherished values of courage, dash, optimism, team spirit and enthusiasm. Sports are an excellent medium to inculcate these values in the students and to prepare them mentally and physically for the challenges ahead in life. It is our belief that sport activities are essential for the overall development of any student. We motivate our students to participate in different games and sports activities throughout the year. These activities inculcate the healthy feeling of sportsmanship and competitiveness among the students and help them to release their stress and learn the spirit of freedom, togetherness, discipline, leadership and selfcontrol.
Facilities for a large variety of games and sports are available in the Institute and even more are under development. All facilities, including professionally qualified sports coaches and modern amenities catering to various sports and games are provided to students. The University has sports field in both campuses for Cricket, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Hockey, Baseball, Badminton, besides these facilities for Indoor Games like Table Tennis, Chess, Carom, Gymnasium are available in Hostels.
Oriental Bank of Commerce has an extension counter window at the Institute located in the Administrative Block giving easy access to the college students and the staff to withdraw and deposit cash. The bank is functional from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and is open on all working days. ATM also lies within the campus premises.
Keeping in mind the daily needs of the students, the Institute provides items of daily needs such as Stationary, Medicines, Grocery Items, Xerox and Bakery products within the campus.
Residential campus is a scene of rapid construction and civil works towards providing residential accommodation to the faculty. Fifteen (15) spacious and well-ventilated flats have already been allotted to faculty. The aim is to provide accommodation to each faculty and staff member of the Institute in the near future. Tastefully furnished guest rooms, suites are available for examiners, parents and other guests.
The Institute is connected by regular local bus service available from Airport, Railway Station, Bus Stand. Besides this the Institute provides it's own bus facility to facilitate staff and students commuters.
The Institute provides safety insurance cover of Rs. 1 Lac per student under “Student Safety Insurance Policy” provided by New India Assurance Co. Ltd, for which students have to pay a very nominal annual premium.
Health Card of all the students is prepared after preliminary investigation and clinical examination. The ailment and treatment of the students during their stay in the Institute are recorded in these health cards. These health cards help in proper documentation of the ailments of the students, so that proper preventive measures can be taken.
The first year students of the Institute are vaccinated against HEPATITIS-B Virus. Vaccination for Tetanus and Typhoid is provided to the students as per requirement.
