Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology

The School has well qualified and experienced faculty members specialized in various fields of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Most of the faculty members are doctorate. The faculty is actively engaged in Research with few of them pursuing their PhD's. They are continuously enriching themselves professionally by attending workshops, symposium refresher courses and conferences at National and International levels. Faculty members & students have won the Young scientist awards at Uttarakhand Science Congress, and other conferences.

Prof. Veerma Ram, M. Pharm (Pharmacology), Ph.D.

Director

Holding more than 25 years of outstanding teaching & research experience, he has contributed more than 55 research papers and review articles in various journals of National and International recognition and has of successfully completed 2 research projects one each from AICTE and UCOST. Presently, Prof. Veerma Ram is guiding 6 Ph. D. scholars and 4 students have been awarded Ph.D. degree under his supervision. Specialized in Pharmacology and Toxicology, his area of research interest included antidiabetics, hepatotoxicity and CNS disorders with special emphasis on memory loss and its management. He also has 3 National patents to his credit and is a life member of APTI.

Ms. Urmi Chaurasia, M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics)

Associate Professor & COE

Ms. Urmi Chaurasia, earned her M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics) degree from BIT Ranchi and has more than 28 years of experience in the field of academics and research. She was advisor IPGA, Uttarakhand branch and member of APTI, IPA (Treasurer). Her contributions include 7 research papers, over 40 poster presentations and guidance over 25 M. Pharm student. She has 03 patents, filled and published and has author a book and book chapter (CRC Press, Taylor & Frances group). She is awarded with certificate of appreciation for a contribution in the field of education. She was a member of BOS and also Centre for Excellence in Pharmacy, UTU. She was appointed Deputy and Head Examiner for UTU Pharmacy evaluations. Presently she is also holding the position of Controller of Examinations.

Dr. (Mrs.) Yogita Dobhal, M. Pharm (Pharmacology), Ph. D.

Professor

She holds 18 years of outstanding teaching & research experience, and has contributed 25 research papers in various journals of National and International recognition. She is a life member of APTI & IPGA. She has specialized in Pharmacology and Toxicology with area of interest are cardiovascular and CNS disorders

Dr. (Mrs.) C. Nithya Shanthi, M. Pharm, Ph.D. (Pharmaceutics)

Professor

Dr. (Mrs.) C. Nithya Shanthi has 17 years of teaching and research experience. She completed her Ph.D. in 2014 from Jaipur National University, Jaipur and M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics) degree from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi in 2007. She has attended 06 conferences and published more than 25 articles in various journals of repute. She has guided 30 M. Pharm students. She qualified GATE with 99.76 percentile (28th All India Rank).

Dr. Arun Kumar Mahato, M. Pharm, Ph.D. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)

Professor

Dr. Arun Kumar Mahato has completed his Ph.D. in 2017 from Jaipur National University, Jaipur. He received his M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi in 2007. He has 17 years of teaching and research experience. He has qualified GATE with 90.73 percentile. He has guided more than 25 PG and UG students. He has published 25 articles in various journals of repute.

Dr. Anupama Singh, M. Pharm. (Pharmacognosy), Ph. D.

Associate Professor

Dr. (Mrs) Anupama Singh received her Master Degree from BRNCOP, Mandsaur, M. P. in 2008 and Ph.D. in 2013. She is topper of her batch during master degree and stood third in B. Pharm. She has 16 years undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience. She has guided 16 M. Pharm. students and also guiding 03 Ph.D.’s. Her work had led to publishing of 04 patents, 07 book chapters, 26 research papers in national and international journals and 72 conference presentations at scientific meetings/conferences.

Mr. Mohd Ajmal,, M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)

Associate Professor

Mr. Mohd. Ajmal obtained his M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) degree from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi and pursuing Ph.D from SBS University, Dehradun. He has 18 years of teaching and research experience. He has guided many post graduate and under graduate students. He has attended many workshops and seminars and published 10 articles in various journals of repute. He published 02 patents also. He has completed online course of academic writing from SWAYAM programme initiated by ministry of education, Govt of India in 2022.

Mr. Ankush Sundriyal, M. Pharm (Pharmacognosy)

Associate Professor

Mr. Ankush Sundriyal brings an impressive 12 years of academic experience to his role as Associate Professor at Sardar Bhagwan Singh University. Notably, he has authored 14 research papers published in esteemed national and international journals, showcasing his significant contributions to the field of pharmacognosy. With a keen interest in phytochemistry, He has made significant strides in the area of isolation and analysis of phytoconstituents from medicinal plants. Actively participating in the global academic community, He is a dedicated member of the International Society of Pharmacognosy and IPGA (Indian Pharmacological Society). His commitment to staying at the forefront of pharmaceutical advancements is evident through his involvement in over 14 presentations at both national and international seminars and conferences. Beyond his scholarly pursuits, He has played a crucial role in shaping the next generation of pharmacists by guiding numerous students in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Ms. Gauree Kukreti, M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics)

Mrs Gauree Kukreti has completed her B. Pharm and M. Pharm in Pharmaceutics course from Sardar Bhagwan Singh PG Institute, Dehradun in 2010 and 2012 respectively. She has qualified GPAT exam twice (2010 and 2013). She has guided 16 UG and 7 PG students. She has received KIRAN scheme (Women Scientist Scheme -C) under DST. She has got 10 publications. She has attended more than 10 conferences and seminars. Has recently filed 09 Indian patents, one design registration by Indian patent office

Mr. Vishal Warikoo, M.Tech ( Computer Sci.)

Mr. Vishal Warikoo has completed his B. Tech from Punjab University and M. Tech. (CSE) from UTU, Dehradun. He has more than 15 years of teaching & 1 year of Industrial experience. He has qualified Certificate Course in Software Testing. His area of interest includes Networking, Security systems and Web warehousing and Database handling. He has attended more than 15 conferences and seminars. He also has 1 National patents to his credit.

Ms. Lata Bisht - M.Pharm (Pharmacology and Toxicology)

Ms. Lata Bisht completed her M.Pharm in Pharmacology and Toxicology from SBSPGI, Balawala, Dehradun. She has 06 yrs experience (one year in Omics International companyand 04 yr in teaching). She has attended More than 07 national conferences and 02 international conference. She has also presented poster in International & National conference held in UCOST, Gurukul Kangri, Haridwar FRI, Dehradun and BHU, Banaras. She has published one review article and 02 research articles.

Mr. Shubham Shaily - M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics)

Mr. Shubham Shaily has completed his D.Pharm from Government Polytechnic Gauchar Chamoli, B.Pharm from HNBGU Srinagar Garhwal and M.Pharm from SBSPGI, Balawala Dehradun in Pharmacology. He has also qualified Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) conducted by AICTE. He has completed 04 years of academic experience. He presented posters in 70th IPC and UCOST conferences. He also presented a poster in International Conference organised by SPER in Nepal. He is a life member of Society of Phamaceutical Education and Research (SPER). He filed and published 02 patents.

Mr. Mausain Khan, M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)

Mr. Mausin Khan has received his M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) from HIPR, Dehradun. He has 7 yrs teaching experience. He has attended many national and international conferences, seminars and webinars. He has also presented a poster in UCOST, Dehradun. He has published one review article and one research article in international journal. He is pursuing Ph.D from SBS University, Dehradun.

Ms. Swati Dobhal, M. Pharm (Pharmacology)

Mr.Ayush Hatwal M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics)

Mr.Ayush Hatwal has completed his B. Pharm in 2017 from SBS University and then Completed his M. Pharm from Pharmaceutics in 2019 from SBS University and later he joined an Industry Jubilant Generics Roorkee then he joined the academic as a Assistant Professor in Himalayan Garhwal University, Pokhada and in KIITS, Doonga for 1 year and have an experience of teaching upto 2 years.

Ms. Alka Singh, M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics)

Ms. Alka Singh has completed her B. Pharm and M. Pharm in Pharmaceutics course from Sardar Bhagwan Singh PG Institute, Dehradun in 2012 and 2014 respectively. Mrs. Jyoti Rawat, M.Pharm (Pharmacy Practice)

Nitish Singh Jangwan, M.Pharm (Pharmacology)

He has completed B.Pharm from SBSPGI (Dehradun) and M.Pharm in Pharmacology from SBS University (Dehradun) in 2020 and 2022 respectively. He has 2 years of teaching experience in SBSU. He was accolade with Silver Medal for academic performance in B.Pharm (2016-2020). He has attended overall 10 National and International conferences and presented overall 3 posters in National and International conferences. He has published 1 review article in International Journal (Frontiers in Systems Neuroscience).

Mr. Debadri Banerjee, M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics)

Mr. Debadri Banerjee has completed his B. Pharm from Bengal School of Technology, West Bengal and M. Pharm from Sardar Bhagwan Singh University, Dehradun. Presently he is pursuing his PhD from SBSU, Dehradun with teaching experience of 2 years. He published one international book chapter and three review papers, national and international. He has also successfully presented poster nationally and internationally.

Mrs. Swati Penuli, M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics)

Mrs. Swati Penuli has completed her B.pharm from SGRRITS, Dehradun and M. Pharm from Sardar Bhagwan Singh University, Dehradun. Presently she is pursuing her PhD from SBSU, Dehradun with teaching experience of 2 year. She has also successfully presented poster nationally and internationally. She published one international book chapter.

Ms. Sukanya, M. Pharm (Pharmacognosy)

Ms. Sukanya has completed her B.Pharm from Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Technology & Sciences, Dehradun in 2012. She completed her M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy) from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, Jharkhand in 2015. She further got enrolled in Ph.D in Department of Pharmacy, Central University of Rajasthan, India and has submitted her Ph.D thesis in 2022.She was awarded a travel bursary by Alzheimer’s Disease International to attend the ADI 2022 conference in London, UK. She was also awarded the Indian Council of Medical Research-Senior Research Fellow (ICMR-SRF) in 2019 and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research-Senior Research Fellow (CSIR-SRF) from 2019 to 2021.She has also worked on a DST-funded project entitled as a Junior Research Fellow. Miss Sukanya has published 07 research articles in reputed high impact journals and she has also published a book chapter in 2023

Mrs. Nisha Agri Bhatt, M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics)

Mrs.Nisha Agari Bhatt has 10 years of rich experience in Research & Development domain of pharmaceutical sectors and good experience of teaching. She has extensive industrial experience and worked with cross-functional scientific, and research teams. Her area of specialization is Quality Asuurance & Techniques. She has published 01 patent and 10 articles in peer reviewed scientific journals, and participated in seminar, conferences and technical research sessions in various reputed Pharmacy/Medical institutions.She has guided twenty B.Pharm and four M. Pharm Students for their projects. She is also having experience to prepare different short term courses curriculum for the universities. In addition to curricular activities; She is active member of community services. She has anchored several cultural programs, actively organized and participated in various events in Colleges/Universities. She is also a very active and motivational speakers on various platforms and she has conducted/delivered; expert lectures/seminars/conferences in several Institutes and Universities.
