With an array of expertise spanning from Microbial Sciences, Bioremediation, and Medical Technology to cutting-edge Biotechnological interventions for life enhancement and conservation, our school thrives on fostering a diverse community that works relentlessly across boundaries to create a pool of skilled human resources.

Our Vision

Established as one of the major schools at Sardar Bhagwan Singh University, the School of Life Sciences was conceived with a vision to engage with real-world problems and make a tangible impact in fields as diverse as stress biology, environmental toxicology, plant-microbial interactions, and biodiversity conservation. Our teaching is firmly rooted in research, with a focus on nurturing the skills and employability of the next generation of innovators.

Our Departments

Within the School of Life Sciences, we have two dynamic departments:

Department Of Biochemistry & Biotechnology

Since its inception in 2001, the Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology has continuously evolved, blending traditional wisdom with modern technology. Our academic programs, spanning undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. levels, have seen remarkable growth in academics, research acumen, and placements in both industry and research institutions. The laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and facilities. Our vision is to be recognized as a Center of Excellence for Biochemistry & Biotechnology, bridging the gap between biological and human resources, and shaping a biologically based future for the 21st century.
