With three decades of experience in delivering top-quality education and achieving excellence in the field of biomedical sciences, Sardar Bhagwan Singh University has embarked on a new journey in Agricultural Sciences. We proudly introduce our B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and B.Sc. (Hons.) programs under the banner of the School of Agricultural Sciences. Our school is committed to providing dynamic and innovative education, addressing the contemporary challenges of scientific manpower in agriculture and forestry, conducting vital research, and extending effective services to rural communities.

Our School boasts a team of qualified, practical-oriented, and dedicated faculty members in Agriculture, Forestry, and related disciplines. We take pride in having some of the most renowned educators in the country, recognized nationally for their teaching expertise and outstanding research contributions. Beyond academic excellence, we strive for the holistic development of our students' personalities.
Our Department of Agriculture is dedicated to achieving excellence in academics and research while instilling ethical and moral values in our students. Our curriculum aligns with the guidelines of the 5th Deans Committee of the Indian Council of Agricultural Sciences (ICAR). We aim to produce well-trained professionals equipped for careers in academics, agro-based industries, and extension-oriented applications.
We encourage students to actively engage with progressive farmers and scientists, participate in seminars, workshops, symposia, and conferences, and gain both theoretical and practical knowledge in multidisciplinary agricultural work.
Our faculty members are eminent and highly qualified, with doctoral and post-doctoral research experience in contemporary agricultural and allied sciences. Their expertise contributes to the overall professional and personal growth of our students.
Our laboratories are equipped with modern instruments and equipment to facilitate cutting-edge research and practical learning. Facilities include soil chemistry labs, microbiology/plant pathology labs, biotechnology labs, tissue culture facilities, and a central laboratory with advanced equipment.
To provide students with real-world experience, we offer educational tours, farm visits, practical hands-on training, and interactions with progressive farmers and eminent scientists. Our agricultural farms, spanning 5 hectares, are equipped with modern machinery and implements.
Our curriculum, designed following ICAR's 5th Deans Committee recommendations, includes Practical Crop Production (PCP), Rural Agricultural Work Experiences (RAWE), Experiential learning, and conventional teaching. To enrich students' exposure to agriculture and forestry, we organize visits to fields, forests, Krishi Vigyan Kendras, commercial fruit orchards, horticulture nurseries, commercial greenhouses, research centers, mushroom production houses, and food industries and facilitate interactions with progressive farmers, industry people, and eminent scientists.
